This is one of the most common file compression formats. It was created by Russian programmer Evgeny Roshal. The format allows one to break up an archived file into several parts, to block an archive to prevent accidental modification, and to enhance data recovery (helps to renew a damaged archive). It has a 128-bit AES algorithm.
For archiving with files compressed based on the LHARC algorithm. It’s a popular archiving format on Amiga computers. It’s used for compressing installation packets on earlier games. Later it was replaced by the LZH compression format. Currently LHA is still distributed in Japan.
