Formato desarrollado por el Foro Internacional de Contenidos Digitales. Se basa en el uso opcional de hojas de estilo CSS de XML y XHTM. El concepto básico de este formato es el uso de un diseño flotante que permite la adaptación de la presentación a las pantallas de los diferentes dispositivos. El archivo ePub es un archivo ZIP con extensión .epub. Dicho archivo contiene texto y elementos gráficos en formato PDF, HTML y xHTML.
